Can You Feel the LOVE? An Easy, Fun Valentine's Day Decoration

My son has been super into arts & crafts lately (which is heaven for me!), and he's been asking me to come up with different projects for us to do together.  Last week, we were doing all things Valentine's Day and came up with this little ditty.  It's great because it helps hone cutting skills, uses things you have around the house, and can be as simple or complex as you want!  Also, coming from thecityofmotherlylove.com, I do love me some love-themed projects!!!

Feel the LOVE Banner

Supplies:
  • 4 pieces of construction paper (2 pink and 2 red are nice)
  • Single hole punch
  • Yarn or String
  • Markers, crayons, etc.

How to:
  • Using a ruler, draw a large triangle on each piece of construction paper.
  • Ask your little guy or gal to help you cut them out
  • Draw a large letter on each triangle (We did L O V E)
  • Use paint, markers or do-a-dot markers (we love the Do-A-Dot Rainbow Art Set (Set of 6) to outline the letters.
  • Punch holes in the top two corners of each triangle.
  • Thread yarn or string through it to make a banner.
  • Hang it up!
  • Feel the love!
