Chocolate Dipped Marshmallow Bouquet - Easy and Delicious for Valentine's Day!

Hello out there everyone!  I am so sorry I've been missing in action...  A stomach bug visited and took me down for a little while, but I'm back.  Unfortunately, I only lost a few pounds (and gained it right back), but I'm still going to eat and pretend like I need to get back to my fighting weight.  Indulge me!

Valentine's Day is almost here, and City of Motherly Love contributor, Wendy, has been at it again!  You may remember her Candy & Chocolate Covered Pretzels and her
Chocolate Covered Mini PretzelsNow, here is another recipe in her classic, easy, pretty, delicious style:

Chocolate Dipped Marshmallow Bouquet
(better than flowers!)

Ingredients / Supplies:
  • Lollipop sticks from Michael's or AC Moore
  • Bag of marshmallows -  regular size or jumbo
  • Treat bags - Wendy bought the ones that were small enough for the stick to come out of the bottom a little
  • Festive Valentine's Day ribbon (for tying around the bag)
  • Valentine's Day candy decorations - different colored sprinkles, hearts, non-pareils (Target has a great variety mix)
  • 1 Bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 Bag of red Candy Melts (you can buy these at Michael's or AC Moore)
Recipe:
  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  2. Stick lollipop sticks into marshmallows
  3. Pour candy decorations into separate bowls
  4. Melt the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl in 30 second intervals and stir until melted
  5. Dip each marshmallow into chocolate and then roll in decorations
  6. Place decorated marshmallows on lined baking sheet and refrigerate for 15 minutes until hard
  7. Test them out!!!  YUMMY!!!
  8. Put in treat bags and tie ribbons around the bottom.  Give to family and friends and spread the love!
